Schengen Medical Visa
The medical treatment purpose of the Schengen short-stay visa (Type C) is for travelling to receive medical care in the Schengen area for a short stay. It is the same uniform Type C visa; the label describes the reason for travel, and the 90-days-in-180 short-stay rule still applies.
What typically differs
For a medical trip you are commonly asked for written confirmation from the medical institution that it will treat you, and evidence that you can meet the cost of treatment and your stay, in addition to the standard requirements. Confirm exactly what is required via the official European Commission guidance.
