Schengen Business Visa

The business purpose of the Schengen short-stay visa (Type C) is for attending meetings, conferences and other short business activities in the Schengen area. It is the same uniform Type C visa; “business visa” describes the reason for travel, not a separate visa, and the 90-days-in-180 short-stay rule still applies.

What typically differs

For a business trip you are commonly asked for an invitation letter from the company or organisation you are visiting, alongside the standard requirements. Confirm exactly what your consulate asks for via the official European Commission guidance.
