Most foreign nationals require a Vietnam Visa to enter the country, including travellers from the UK, USA, Canada, and Australia. Some nationalities benefit from visa-free entry or short-stay exemptions depending on diplomatic agreements.

Who Needs a Visa to Enter Vietnam?

General Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for a Vietnam Visa, applicants must:

• Hold a valid passport with at least six months remaining before expiry.
• Have no record of overstaying or immigration violations in Vietnam or elsewhere.
