GCC Seeks Visa Waiver for Citizens Traveling to Schengen Zone

Great news for frequent travelers from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)! Talks are underway between the GCC and the European Union (EU) to potentially eliminate the need for Schengen visas for GCC citizens.

This development, reported by the Qatar News Agency (QNA), signifies a potential breakthrough in facilitating travel between the two regions. Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi, Secretary General of the GCC, met with Luigi Di Maio, the EU's special representative for the Gulf region, in Brussels to discuss this and other bilateral matters.

If a visa waiver is achieved, GCC citizens traveling to the Schengen Zone, which encompasses 26 European countries, would no longer require a separate visa application process for each visit.
