Requirements

  • The visit must be for tourism across the three East African Community partner states - Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda
  • You must first enter through the country that issued the visa (apply through Kenya if Kenya is your first point of entry)
  • A single authorisation replaces the need for separate entry permits for each of the three countries
  • A passport valid for onward travel across the region

How to apply

  • Decide which of the three countries you will enter first - you must apply through that country's system
  • If entering Kenya first, apply online at etakenya.go.ke and select the East African Tourist Visa
  • Complete the application with your passport, photo and travel details
  • Pay the fee and wait for the authorisation to be issued
  • Present the approved visa and your passport on arrival, entering first through the issuing country
