The e-Tourist Visa is India’s electronic visa for tourism, sightseeing, casual visits to meet friends or relatives and short-term recreational programmes. According to the Bureau of Immigration, the e-Tourist Visa is issued in different validity options — including 30-day, one-year and five-year variants. It is applied for online in advance through the official Indian e-Visa portal at indianvisaonline.gov.in, and your passport should have at least six months’ validity.
