e-permit visa

Foreign nationals of Afghan origin traveling to Afghanistan with a foreign passport can enter the country without a visa under the following conditions: • Foreign nationals of Afghan origin whose birth place is listed as Afghanistan on their passport. • Foreign nationals of Afghan origin whose birth place is not mentioned as Afghanistan on their passport but who possess an Afghan identification card (Tazkira), Afghan passport, or a certificate of identity from Afghan diplomatic/Consular missions abroad. • Those Afghan nationals who have relinquish their citizenship will be treated as foreign nationals when issuing visas.

Entry Visa

This visa is issued to individuals invited by companies or institutions operating in Afghanistan, which hold an official license from the relevant institutions of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. The visa is granted based on an official letter from the relevant institution and with the approval of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs through Afghanistan’s political and consular missions abroad. Afghans holding foreign passports who are officially married to foreign nationals and possess a valid marriage or legal relationship certificate, provided they have not renounced Afghan citizenship, are eligible for an entry visa issued by Afghanistan’s political and consular missions abroad.

An exit visa is issued to foreign nationals who, for reasons such as (imprisonment in Afghanistan, a judicial or legal order lifting a travel ban, or other legitimate and justified reasons), were unable to extend their visa while in Afghanistan.
