Who needs a visa to visit Antigua?

All visitors visiting Antigua and Barbuda are required to have onward or return travel arrangements. Citizens of the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada can enter Antigua and Barbuda without a visa, however they must have a VALID PASSPORT.

Visitors may remain for as long as their business requires, providing that:

  •  This is less than six months in duration
  •  They possess a continuing or return ticket
  • They have accommodation confirmation
  • they can provide proof that they can support themselves in Antigua and Barbuda

Entry into Antigua

Antigua and Barbuda has lifted all COVID-19-related limitations (e.g. evidence of vaccination/testing) for air travellers as of August 26. All COVID-19-related restrictions are also lifted for passengers arriving by yacht or ferry service; however, they are required to contact the Antigua Port Authority at least six hours prior to arrival via VHF Channel 16 and follow instructions on which port or holding area to complete entry formalities.
There are currently no entry exemptions.

Eligibility to apply for a Antigua visa

You will be required to present:

 

  • The maximum length of stay is six months.
  • Providing the traveller owns a continuing or return ticket
  • They have accommodation confirmation
  • They are able to provide proof that they can support themselves in Antigua and Barbuda and hold valid passports.

Processing time for Antigua visas

The competent Senior Officers of the Antigua and Barbuda Immigration Department decide the application. The application processing duration is seven (7) business days. This period may be extended by up to 15 days, and in extraordinary circumstances, by up to 30 days.

Antigua visa types

The period of an Antigua and Barbuda visa varies according to the type of visa requested:

  • Visa on arrival – 30 days.
  • Short-stay visa — 90 days.
  • Long-stay visa — 365 days.

What to do if your Antigua visa is refused

To ensure your visa for Antigua is not refused, please try and ensure you have all relevant information and documents required before you start your visa application process. Photo copied documentation will not be accepted and will be rejected immediately, so ensure your documents are all original.
