Whether you need a visa to enter Türkiye depends on your nationality and the purpose and length of your stay — nationals of some countries are exempt for touristic or business visits, while others need a visa arranged in advance. Türkiye's visas are handled by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with an e-Visa for tourism or business obtained online at evisa.gov.tr, a sticker visa via visa.gov.tr, and consular visas through Turkish Representations abroad for other purposes. Who needs a visa to Turkey?
Visitors to Turkey must obtain a visa from one of the Turkish diplomatic missions in their country unless they come from one of the 91 countries and territories that are exempt from visa requirements or one of the 28 countries and territories whose citizens are eligible to apply for an electronic visa through the Turkish government website. Turkish visas are official papers issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its diplomatic posts across the world with the declared objective of controlling and facilitating migratory movements in and out of Turkey.
Visas are required for ordinary passport holders between the ages of 16 and 55. Ordinary passport holders between these ages with a valid visa or residence permit for Schengen members, the United States, the United Kingdom, or Ireland can obtain their one-month, single-entry e-Visas from the government website.
Entry into Turkey
There are no COVID-19 restrictions on travel from Ireland to Turkey. There is no necessity to produce immunisation or testing certifications for COVID-19.
If you test positive for COVID-19 in Turkey, you must isolate yourself for seven days. The isolation period finishes after seven days unless symptoms are present. On the fifth day, you may be tested, and if the result is negative, the isolation period ends. Wholly immunised close connections are not required to self-isolate.
Passengers are no longer required to wear masks on Turkish public transportation, including on Turkish-based airlines. Transit passengers are advised to review the destination country's flight restrictions and PCR testing requirements.
A passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of arrival into Turkey. The usage of passport cards for travel to Turkey is prohibited. Please check your passport well in advance of your trip, as you may be denied entry otherwise. If you do not meet the admission requirements, the Embassy is unable to assist you.

You have the right to contest this verdict. The embassy of the Member State that decided to deny the visa distributes a standard form to notify the applicant of the decision to deny a Turkey visa and the reasons for the refusal.
