Who needs a visa to visit Timor Leste?

Except for citizens of the Schengen Zone, Indonesia, and Cape Verde, nearly everyone who wishes to visit Timor-Leste must obtain a visa. Indonesians and Cape Verdeans can visit Timor-Leste visa-free for up to thirty days. They may extend their stay an extra 30 days once.

Entry into Timor Leste

Passengers travelling from Ireland to Timor-Leste must present a vaccination certificate upon arrival.

Unvaccinated passengers must undergo a 10-day quarantine upon arrival. Those who are medically prohibited from receiving the COVID-19 immunisation must bring a doctor's note and present it upon arrival.

All paperwork must be published in one of the following languages: The languages of English, Portuguese, and Indonesian. There is currently no necessity for travellers to have a pre-arrival PCR or antigen test.

Who can visit Timor Leste without a visa?

Tourists arriving via Nicolau Lobato International Airport or Dili Seaport are eligible for a 30-day visa upon arrival. If you enter at another port or by land, you must obtain a visa in advance.
