Submitting the correct supporting documents is a crucial part of your Luxembourg visa application. Missing or incomplete paperwork is one of the most common reasons for visa delays or refusals. This checklist outlines the required documents for short-stay (Schengen) and long-stay (national) Luxembourg visas in 2025.

Core Required Documents (All Visa Types)

Every applicant must provide the following:

  • Completed Visa Application Form: Printed and signed.
  • Valid Passport: Must have been issued within the last 10 years, with at least two blank pages and valid for three months after return.
  • Recent Passport Photos: Two identical photos, 35×45 mm, meeting ICAO standards.

1. Tourist or Visitor Visa

2. Business Visa

  • Invitation letter from the Luxembourg company, stating purpose and duration of visit.
  • Proof of business registration for both companies.
  • Previous business correspondence (if applicable).

3. Work Visa

  • Employment contract from Luxembourg employer.
  • Copy of work permit or authorisation from the Luxembourg Ministry of Labour.

4. Student Visa

  • Letter of acceptance from a recognised Luxembourg educational institution.
