Who needs a visa to Mozambique?

Except for travellers from countries that are free from visa requirements, most visitors to Mozambique may receive a visa on arrival at any of the countrys border crossing points or at one of the countrys diplomatic missions.

Entry into Mozambique

Those with a valid tourist or residency visa are permitted entry into Mozambique. Visas must be obtained prior to travel from the nearest Embassy or Consulate of Mozambique. To enter Mozambique, travellers must present proof of a full COVID-19 vaccination certificate or a negative PCR test conducted in their country of departure within 72 hours prior to their arrival in Mozambique. Children under the age of 11 are excluded from this rule.

Visitors to Mozambique who test positive for COVID-19 must self-isolate at a hotel or private lodging. Those without symptoms are required to self-isolate unless instructed otherwise by a physician, after testing negative, or for seven days. Those who develop symptoms are required to self-isolate for seven days.

Criteria to apply for a Mozambique Visa

• Passport valid for travel for at least six months with at least three (3) blank pages.
• Copy of the principal passport page (s).
• Two (2) passport photographs in colour.
