Who needs a visa to visit Argentina?

Private U.S. citizens do not require a visa for tourism or business trips up to 90 days in length. Prior to arrival, diplomatic and official passport holders must obtain visas. The U.S. Embassy in Buenos Aires is unable to assist with the acquisition of Brazilian, Paraguayan, or other visas.

Entry into Argentina

Currently, Argentina's borders are open to all international travelers, including Irish nationals, so long as they meet the country's entry and health requirements. Non-residents must fill out an electronic'sworn statement' form within 48 hours prior to entering the country and provide proof of insurance covering covid-19-related expenses. Currently, there are no vaccination or testing requirements for travellers entering Argentina. Those who are not fully immunised are advised to undergo a diagnostic test within 24 hours of entering the country.
